Cappella Studio welcomes artists to stay in our Resident Artist Suite.
This private bedroom/bathroom/studio offers a unique opportunity for artists and creatives to dedicate focused time to their craft in a peaceful and spiritually enriching environment.
Located in a beautifully restored former convent just steps from the ocean, Cappella Studio provides the ideal setting for artists seeking inspiration, community, and professional growth.
The Artist Residency is designed to support artists who wish to immerse themselves in the creation or restoration of sacred artworks in a space filled with like-minded artists. Artists have access to the private and communal studio spaces where they can develop personal projects, practice traditional techniques, and refine their artistic vision within the context of sacred art and Christian tradition.
A distinctive aspect of the residency is the opportunity to live and work within the artistic and spiritual life of the studio. Comfortable dormitory accommodations are available on-site, allowing artists to focus entirely on their creative work while participating in prayer, reflection, and the liturgical life connected to the chapel on the campus of The Parish of Saint Monica. This environment fosters both artistic excellence and spiritual renewal. The retreat encourages artists to explore the deeper purpose of sacred art as a form of catechesis, evangelization, and service to the Church.
Whether you are an emerging artist seeking to grow in your skills or an experienced practitioner looking for a place of quiet concentration and inspiration, the Artist Residency at Cappella Studio provides a rare opportunity to create meaningful work in a setting where art, prayer, and community come together.
